ABCD 2 box office collection: Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor’s dance film mints Rs 15 crore on Day 1!
The film has become one of the biggest openers of 2015
The sequel of ABCD hit theatres yesterday. Remo D’Souza’s ABCD 2 starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor was one of the most awaited films of the year thanks to the buzz it created before release and the fresh pairing of the two lead actors. Though the film has received a mixed response from the critics, it has opened quite well at the ticket windows.
Varun and Shraddha’s film is one of the biggest openers of 2015. The film has done great business on the opening day and has reportedly raked in about Rs 15 crore on Day 1. The dance film has beaten the year’s highest opening day record set by Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar is Back. Akki’s film had made Rs 13.05 crore on the opening day.
The opening of Remo’s film has been quite good all over the country. Box office India had reported, “ABCD 2 had a good opening practically all over India. At Places the opening was very good and other places were good. The opening is as strong if not better than the biggest opening of the year so far Gabbar Is Back. The opening was excellent in Gujarat and Jaipur. Delhi NCR was good, East Punjab decent while UP was fair. Mumbai opened well despite it raining heavily. The overall opening is around the 45-50% mark.”
