Despite the disastrous innings of Baar Baar Dekho in theaters, Sidharth Malhotra seems to have bagged a lucrative deal of national interest. The 'Student of the Year' star is in the news after being chosen as the brand ambassador of Narendra Modi's Skill India campaign. It is his second tryst as an ambassador of a brand after New Zealand named him its Indian face for tourism. The Kala Chashma hitmaker is one of the best faces in the film industry to put the money on but can he really pull off the role of somebody carrying a national responsibility? only the time will tell.

Narendra Modi's skill India aims to train some 400 million people in India with different skills. The campaign seems to have got some momentum with Sidharth arriving in on the scene to promote it in every corner.

During an interview, he said that he is excited to be part of such a huge national campaign.

"It is a great platform to provide assistance and guidance to abundant talent India possesses," he added. "I am happy to help the government."

The actor is the third name to have joined the bandwagon of stars promoting the campaign after Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

"Skill India will provide the right direction to the aspiring youth of India," he commented.
